I was once asked "What could you eat as a vegetarian or vegan?" Already entrenched in a vegetarian/vegan lifestyle I proceeded to name all of the delicious fruits, vegetables, grains, legumes, seeds and nuts I could think of. As I emphatically named these foods the persons face didn't budge. They've heard all of these food items before and expressed to me that without meat there is no dish or nutrients for that matter. I noticed that just because I enjoy what some would deem 'sides' as meals others may not. I also noticed that people have been conditioned to think meat is the only place you can get protein and other essential nutrients. I was once that girl wondering what vegetarians/vegans eat. Well, now i'm here to show you a different take on some of your favorite foods while also introducing you to different tastes and food facts. Fruits and Vegetables are natures medicine and the more you eat the more you heal.
